This policy explains what Huntly collects, why we collect it, and the control you keep over it when you use huntly.fi and the Huntly Telegram bot.

Last updated 17 October 2026.

Who we are

Huntly is a job-matching service for people looking for work in Finland. We watch job boards and selected employer career pages, score openings against your CV, and send fits to you in Telegram. You apply yourself.

Questions about this policy: hello@huntly.fi.

What we collect

Depending on how you use Huntly, we may process:

  • Account details from Telegram or LinkedIn login (such as your name and provider account identifiers).
  • Career information you provide, including your CV text, work history, skills, and notification preferences.
  • Product activity needed to run matching and alerts (for example plan status, alert settings, and referral status).
  • Billing data handled by Stripe when you subscribe to a paid plan (payment method details stay with Stripe).
  • Technical data such as basic device and log information needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use your data

We use your information to:

  • Create and maintain your account.
  • Match openings to your CV and send alerts in Telegram.
  • Tailor CV drafts for roles you may want to apply to.
  • Process subscriptions and prevent billing abuse.
  • Provide support and keep the service secure.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your profile with employers or recruiters as a lead. Applications reach an employer only when you choose to apply.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (securing and improving the product), and legal obligations (for example accounting records for paid plans). Where consent is required, we ask for it.

Processors we use

We use trusted processors to run Huntly, including Telegram (login and messaging), LinkedIn (optional login), and Stripe (payments). They process data only as needed to provide their services to us.

How long we keep data

We keep your account data while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data that is no longer needed, except where we must retain records for security, dispute handling, or legal accounting duties.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or otherwise covered by GDPR-style rights, you can:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Ask us to delete your account and related personal data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, where the law allows.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Email hello@huntly.fi to make a request. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account holder.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please keep access to your Telegram and LinkedIn accounts under your control.

Changes

We may update this policy as Huntly evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after an update means the revised policy applies.
